Summary
Wiki parser / Doc generator is in fact not a part of the FB product. It is just a developent tool.
Problem
It shouldn’t be part of the FreedomBox salsa project.
Solution
It should be moved to either the toolbox or feedom-maker projects.
I wouldn’t be very concerned about which repository the scripts are in, as long as they don’t get included into the freedombox.deb package.
It is not unusual for sources to carry some of the build tools. It will likely get dropped if we move to a different way to create our manual (MediaWiki, Salsa wiki, etc.). Separating out into a different package will require that package to be available in Debian as all build tools must be in Debian for building a package. This is some effort. We can separate out the tool if it seems that another project is interested to use it.
