Pioneer does not start. There is a blank screen after "Starting Kernel"

I purchased the FreedomBox Pioneer in May 2019. I have been intermittently using it since. Really haven’t had time to devote to it.
Yesterday, I commented out one line in /etc/apache2/conf-available/freedombox.conf file.
I had this line commented out before a previous update. The update put the file back. So I thought changing it back again wouldn’t hurt.
I restarted apache to see if the change would apply. It didn’t. So I used the “systemctl reboot” to restart the box.
The box did not come back up.
Plugging in the HDMI cable, I see it gets to “Starting Kernel” then there is a blank screen with a flashing cursor in the top-right corner of the screen.
There is a green light on the board. A red light next to the power cable. And the network light is flashing.
Otherwise, there is no other feedback.
Please help.

Thanks

I took a picture of the boot screen and transcribed the results in case it helps:

I tried to plug in an USB keyboard to stop the boot process. But that didn’t work either.

I have this same issue. Did you figure out a good solution and get back up and running? If so, what did you do?

Thank you for your assistance!
