Here are some network traffic and related terminal tools.
I haven’t found one that plays nice with the terminal in Cockpit but ssh works just like your PC. The Cockpit terminal has an issue with scaling to fit the terminal window and iftop runs way outside the window.
I found iftop gives good data and bpytop gives different data but looks really cool

bpytop is by far my favorite system view. Here’s bpytop in Konsole.
This is a reinstall of FBX starting with Debian/Xfce. My first go around was with Debian/KDE Plasma. Then I installed a few other desktops via tasksel and Xfce seemed to use the fewest resources as per bpytop view so that’s why I chose Xfce this time.
An interesting thing is that I had to log into KDE/Plasma for FBX to start. I do not have to log into Xfce for FBX to start which really keeps the resources low.
Next time, if there is a next time, I will forego a desktop. I’m finding a lot of ways around needing one.
