Hi,
My FreedomBox no longer starts up after a system update.
I can no longer see the BOX on my network either.

I don’t have SSH access either.

I need help

To give you any suggestion, some details are needed like:

  • on which hardware does it run?
  • how did you install freedombox?
  • how is your freedombox connected to your local network (ethernet, wireless)?
  • how do you normally access your freedombox?
  • did you use the option to get frequent udates?
  • did the problem occur after a manual or automatic update?

I’ve now restarted the device and the SD card.

Does it work now?

It sometimes (not often) happens that my freedombox is completely unresponsive. Powering it off and is a way to restore it. For my freedombox running on an SD card, I normally put the SD card in an SD card reader on my PC to check the filesystem, and then I put it back to the Freedombox.

Having backups is a good idea in case something really wrong (like, damaged SD card) happened.
