I use Jitsi on a VPS (provided by Gandi) to have a monthly teleconference with 6 people.
Several complained several times that it wasn’t as convenient and robust as Zoom but they have stopped complaining recently. To minimize the risk of problems, just before the telco, I upgrade the VPS to the maximum resources option (costs 85 euros/month) and downgrade it to the minimum just after (5 euros/month), and as Gandi charges that per hour, the cost is still low.
I find Janus interesting, as I could run it on my own hardware at home rather than on a VPS, but I wonder what capacity I can expect.
Has anyone used Janus on a Pioneer box? If so, with video? How many participants? In a local network or throught public internet?
