The article was written in February. At least the problem of not being able to buy a FreedomBox on the market mentioned in the article will be solved by the hardware kits releasing in April.
People not adopting FreedomBox because the mainstream media convinced them that they have nothing to hide is a much larger problem. 
Coming from the perspective of being an engineer in the intelligence community several years ago and since becoming much more of a free/open-source hardware/software advocate, I agree. Those regurgitating the argument of people having “nothing to hide” are completely missing the point.
