FreedomBox 25.9.4 has been released and uploaded to Debian unstable.
After manual approval, it will migrate to testing.

Changes in this release:

  • distupgrade: Handle comments in sources.list file
  • distupgrade: Update Trixie’s release date as announced

will this package be included in the bookworm-backports?
would it be best to wait for this before doing distribution upgrade?

Hi @Ged,

@jvalleroy has backported and uploaded the changes in this release 25.9.5 to bookworm-backports as 25.9.3~bpo12+2. This was done on August 12th. So, everyone who has “Frequent Feature Updates” enabled should already have these change now.

Yes. However, if you don’t have these changes, you can remove comments from /etc/apt/sources.list and ignore the slightly incorrect release date shown for Trixie and proceed.
