Does the Cockpit login work with fbx user? What do you get?
No. It will not accept the password in Freedom Box.
It only works in SSH.
The fbx account is not expected to work as login for FreedomBox web interface. It should, however, work for Cockpit available at https://my.freedombox.rocks/_cockpit.
Steps:
Could you also try to login to Cockpit with your FreedomBox admin user and a newly created FreedomBox admin user?
If this does not work, I will look at how we can further debug and post information.

I created a new admin user and logged into Freedom Box. I launched Cockpit and got the white screen with the IP address. I refreshed it and white screen.
I put in the browser bar http://my.freedombox.rocks/_cockpit and got the Debian GNU/Linux login screen. I logged in with the new admin user and this failed.

I have reflashed the firmware likely 25 times trying different ways to get it working … I even tried the weekly firmware.
I have a complex system so at least twice I tried a new load using only my laptop and the Freedom Box direct connected to one of my modem/routers. This removed all other devices that could interfere with the initial setup.
