[SOLVED] Re-install method?

I am running Debian GNU/Linux buster/sid and FreedomBox version 19.2. FreedomBox is up to date.

I just received it.

Can the initial image on the SD Card be downloaded and re-flashed to re-initialize FreedomBox on a different network?

Is there a script that can re-do the first time initialization?

Or do I grovel through and find everything manually and change it that way?

Yes, the initial image can be re-downloaded and re-flashed.

You can find the exact image that came with your Pioneer kit along with its signature in this repository:
https://ftp.freedombox.org/pub/freedombox/pioneer/

The download link for the image is here:
https://ftp.freedombox.org/pub/freedombox/pioneer/freedombox-buster-free_latest_a20-olinuxino-lime2-armhf.img.xz

Note that this image is linked in the Olimex product page under the text “Latest FreedomBox image for the LIME2 rev. G2 can be found here” in the Software heading.

For instructions on how to burn this image to a card, check out our video: https://peertube.mastodon.host/videos/watch/5f0acb11-c3b6-4653-ac84-059a0d3ca3d2

We recommend Etcher as the software for flashing the image. But you may well be comfortable flashing the image manually using commands. It’s your choice!

Is that video working for you? Am I expected to login to peer tube ?

I normally just dd images to SD cards for raspberry pi, but was curious and wanted to see video, but it just hangs and never starts.

Hm, not sure why the PeerTube video isn’t working for you. It loads and plays for me, and I am not logged in to PeerTube.

Login is not required to watch videos on PeerTube.

Your usual dd command should work too.
