```
I did check the microSD from Trisquel 12 (derived from Ubuntu 24.04):
```auto
sudo btrfs check /dev/sda2

```
It said no error. What can I do?
I have:
```auto
sudo btrfs check /dev/sda2

```
Then maybe there is actually no issue with the file system and the lack of IP address is due to something else? It previously got the IP address fine, from the same router.
Try btrfs scrub first. You may need multiple runs of scrub. They used to say that check should not be used unless truly needed - but I read that years ago.
When I did this I scrubbed until it started working and it needed three times.
After you get that going read the btrfsmaintenance thread.
Thanks for the hints, I will try that.
I have btrfs because it is what is used in the freedombox images but I feel more comfortable with ext4.
I ran the scrub 3 times, there were 4 errors corrected first time and 6 unrecoverable errors, then the 6 unrecoverable errors remained at the next 2 times.
At boot, there is:
Then the network is not working. I guess thee only solution now is to reisntall freedombox, but perhaps it is better to use a new microSD card?
On this freedombox, I have shaarli that I did not backup. Can I just copy the contents of /var/lib/shaarli, then after I installed freedombox again with shaarli, I can copy the files back to /var/lib/shaarli?
SD cards develop errors after a few years of use. We have reduced the number of write performed by FreedomBox during its normal course of operation to improve the life span, but this still happens. Looks like your SD card is throwing IO errors. Best to run a disk copy to another SD card and swap it out (or perform a backup, swap, and then restore).
