Jellyfin home server

Does anyone know what it would take to get a Jellyfin home server up and running with FreedomBox? I’m going to try it out. If all I do is install Jellyfin, will I be able to use the web interface to generate the Let’s Encrypt certificates for Jellyfin? Jellyfin proxies port 80 and 443 to it’s own ports, so would I still have to modify Apache to proxy those ports? I’ve never set up a home server before, maybe I can get some help. I’d love to be able to set it up for my friends and family so they can watch all of my movies and TV shows and quit paying for Netflix.

I have no experience with Jellyfin. The docs describe changing the base URL at https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/networking/index.html#base-url and using an Apache reverse proxy config at https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/networking/apache.html.

Does Jellyfin use DLNA? How does it compare to MiniDLNA, which is already part of FreedomBox?

I don’t know, I’ve tried to follow the instructions but it’s not working out for me. I had never heard of MiniDLNA before but Jellyfin has a web interface and I like Jellyfin. It supports DLNA but that’s just a feature of Jellyfin.

Hope this helps
