Breaking Changes

MediaWiki from 1.34 has made a parameter called wgServer mandatory for security reasons. Though this only breaks MediaWiki for users on testing, our changes to accommodate this in version 20.17 will also affect those running stable backports (including all FreedomBox Pioneer users).

This basically corresponds to the server URL of your FreedomBox. We have added an option to set this from the UI in this release. You will find an option to enter the desired domain name under the section titled Server URL. Please make this change after upgrade if you want to access your MediaWiki instance on any domain other than “freedombox.local”.

Please notify your MediaWiki users that it will now only be available at {server-url}/mediawiki.
