I have some automation controllers that have a built in web server to serve an html page for monitoring, control and set up via a web browser.

They’re all set up with individual local IP addresses such as 192.168.1.5, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.20 and so on and I can access those IP addresses from any PC here that connects via ethernet or my WiFi. That includes the FBX machine.

I’m using [dynu.com](http://dynu.com) to route a domain name to my fbx.

Is there a way to connect to these local IP addresses through an FBX app or service?

The controllers will output xml state and accept xml commands so I don’t necessarily need a graphical browser.

(read the values)

(turn on relay1)

Off course having access to the built in web server of the main controller for a GUI would be nice too.

This vaguely looks like a use case for the Home Assistant app. The app is not available in the stable release yet. But I don’t know enough about your devices or the Home Assistant app in general to say for sure.

Truer than you know since these automation controllers can also communicate in Modbus.

At long last, I have what I wanted even better. Home Assistant was the answer but I found an Integration specifically for these controllers I have. No messing with Modbus, json, xml etc.

CBW aka ControlByWeb is the brand of control modules. They each have a tiny web server built in and all have assigned local IP addresses. They each have their own config pages with the ability to add automations but they have their limits like only two `AND` can be used. HA removes those limits and HA via FBX puts them online.
